Satoshi, or Sebastian as he is called, is a japanese mountain guide located in Hokkaido, Japan. He started off guiding in the late 90's, when there was no GPS. Instead, he made his own small maps, and used a compass and altimeter to find the best runs. He takes great pride in showing his guests the great nature of Hokkaido.
Sebastian is no stranger to traveling the world. In his search for the perfect snow, he's been to Alaska, Russia, the Alps and Patagonia. But in the end, he always find his way back to Hokkadio in Japan, where the snow and conditions are perfect.
In 2006, Sebastian moved to the village Akaigawa in Hokkaido, which is known for its excellent powder snow. He set up base there and called it AK, which is short for Akaigawa. From there, he guides guest from all over the world, helping them to get that perfect pow run.
