Core Comfort apparel is built from the inside and out. The next-to-skin base layer effectively lifts moisture from your skin and transports it outwards, where it evaporates or is picked up by the thermal layer. The thermal layer has an insulating effect in addition to moving moisture further towards the outside. On the outer surface moisture is spread for fast evaporation. The outer layer provides protection from the outside elements such as cold, wind, wet and abrasion. Base is our next-to-skin layer. As moisture is a heat draining factor it is important to control it within the next-to-skin microclimate. When you exercise and become overheated, your body compensates by sweating.
Even the contact between the warm microclimate and the colder outside air increases the next-to-skin moisture rate. The solution is to wear garments that move moisture off the skin. Insulation is our thermal layer Choose thermal layers that insulate just enough, depending on the outside conditions and your activity. In low temperatures when you need more than one thermal layer we recommend a combination of Precision Wear and full coverage thermal garments. Adding insulation to sensitive areas you will stay warm without overheating and retain full freedom of movement. Elements Softshell protects against wind, wet, dirt and abrasion while functioning as an extension of the inner layers maintaining high breathability and effective dispersion of moisture and excess heat.
